Why is speech therapy important?
We use language everyday. Our children use it get their needs met, to say how they feel, and to communicate about their days. Difficulty with language can lead to more communication breakdowns and tantrums due to frustration. Having delays in language can impact day to day life as well as your child’s academics. Language is the cornerstone for all academic subjects. It impacts how a child can understand and communicate ideas, follow directions, and communicate with peers. Studies have shown there is a corrections between language and literacy skills.
Do you accept insurance?
We are considered a private pay, out of network provider. Peak View Speech Therapy believes in qualify of care and we do not want visits to be regulated by insurance, but patient need. Because we do not accept insurance you will not be required to have a doctor’s referral or prior authorization before starting. Your child’s therapy will also not be determined by your prequalified number of services provided by your insurance policy.
Do you provide teletherapy?
Online speech therapy is a great option for families. Kids and parents have so many activities to go to each day. Online speech therapy allow for children to work on their speech goals and it eliminates drive time for parents. It also allows for greater parent involvement and decreased missed sessions due to other conflicts. Clients love using technology in a innovative fun way and often forget that they are working on their goals.
